Currently located in Southern NH, although I left my heart in San Francisco. I never turn down ice cream and I value one’s ability to be direct and to the point.
I thrive on adventure and have spent the last decade learning to balance big adventures with explorations in daily life. I spend my work weeks researching wildfires, and my free time swimming. I spend way too much time planning bike adventures, and in another life, I probably would have been a travel agent. If you need any travel ideas, reach out!
As I’ve traveled I have fallen in love with the Earth and all its power. I found I was attracted to rougher and more unwelcoming places the longer I traveled. I wanted to know more about the world I was experiencing and learn about how it got to be like that. I recently went back to school to study earth and climate science so that I can understand the environments that keep calling out to me.
I named my teaching business Hiccuping Yogi as I suffer from chronic hiccups. It is a harmless tic for me, but has the potential to destroy the life of those suffering from much more serious cases than I do. I treat it as a frequent reminder that sometimes things happen that we can’t control. Although I don’t teach much these days I’ve kept the name because my adventure background started with thousands of hours on the mat and it’s a good reminder to myself that everything comes back to the breath.
